First things first, for those who haven’t seen any of Sherlock Holmes movies or TV series
WATCH THEM FIRST
I don’t care HOW or WHEN, but please, watch it. Or read the novels, the authentic novels.
THEY ARE TRULY A MASTERPIECE
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle released his books between 1890s. And, the novels NEVER BECOME OUTDATED.
You really don’t believe me?
Fine, we’re heading to our head topic now. I am going to compare Sherlock Holmes in the movie, which is Robert Downey Jr. – the philanthropic, billionaire, genius, playboy *quoted from the Avengers /wink* –
As you know, he is also the main figure of Marvel’s technology geek superhero – the Iron Man – . I am amazed with his ability to debate with someone. He is invulnerable when he is speaking, there’s always an answer for him. And, he has a grrrreeaaat sense of humor.
STILL, there is one man that I will compare to him
He is Benedict Cumberbatch
I am guessing a lot of people do not know him. He was born in London (aww here he comes my England cutie) and he is 36 years old now. He is planned to act in Star Trek 2 *source from google; I’m not a fan of Star Trek*.
The way he investigates something is adorable. He represents the true Sherlock Holmes, like what Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote in his novels. Shortly, he is 90% likely to true Sherlock Holmes.
According to that comparison I wrote, obviously I took Benedict Cumberbatch as the winner. Why?
Here, to Robert Downey Jr. You are good-looking for a man like your age, you have a FANTASTIC sense of humor, and your skill in debating is… /hands up.
BUT, you are better in your Iron suit, saving people with your guns and weapons, than investigate, figuring out something mysterious. Sherlock Holmes does have sense of humor, but not as big as you.
Benedict Cumberbatch represents the true Sherlock Holmes. The way he talks, laughs, investigates, mad, yes, you deserved the role, Mr.
